This article is a paleographical study of the VIth and VIIth centuries cursive handwriting, that was used in the Byzantine state for administrative and bureaucratic purposes. Previous studies have mainly investigated the cursive of the late VIIth century for its relationship with the book minuscule handwriting, while it still lacks a comprehensive analysis of the cursive handwriting of both the centuries.

Abstract
