The paper focuses on AL 2 Riese argumenta Vergiliana tetrasticha, which consist of a preface, a tetrastichon on Bucolics, four tetrasticha dedicated to each book of the Georgics. The first part offers a survey in the manuscript tradition of these texts, with a first list of the manuscripts and some general observation; the second part proposes an analysis of each textual section (the preface, the tetrastichon on Bucolics, the tetrasticha on Georgics) which aims at highlighting the structure and the main features of the argumenta.
