In this paper the HV LinPak (high voltage LinPak) is presented, a power module with a voltage rating up to 6.5 kV and an isolation capability of 10.2 kV. We explain how the electromagnetic design of the module was developed and improved by simulations in order to guarantee fast and balanced module switching. The first electrical measurement of the 6.5 kV 300 A module exhibiting a very homogeneous switching behavior of the high side and the low side of the half bridge module are shared. Finally, first results of parallel switching curves of the 3.3 kV 600 A HV LinPak module are presented.
