Abstract
Discussion of textual and exegetical problems of Theodorid. SH 742 ap. Ath. VI 229b. It is argued that the phrase ὀψητῆρι (lege ἑψ-?) κολύμβῳ means “in a boiling bath” and refers humorously to fish ‘swimming’ in a hot pan. Contrary to some previous interpretations, it is unlikely that κόλυμβος means here ‘grebe’, ‘diving bird’.File in questo prodotto:
