To advance a full overview of immigration in Veneto and carry out an analysis of the profound transformations that it entails, it is not possible to avoid reflecting on the familiarization process that it has gone through. Therefore, this contribution investigates some of the dimensions that the process of family reunification and the evolution from immigration of workers to family immigration (Sayad, 1999; 2006), in Veneto, question. Specifically, the article focuses on demographic, gender and genera- tional changes, social and urban transformations, as well as school and the entry into adult life of the so-called “second generations”.
