In this paper, we analysed the production of French ‘liaison’ in Italian learners (corpus IPFC-Milan) during an informal conversation task between learners, which is one of the tasks of the IPFC (Interphonologie du Français Contemporain)-protocol. Conversations have been transcribed orthographically using the software Praat and annotated following the IPFC liaison coding. The data have been analyzed using the software Dolmen, in order to identify the global rate of implementation of liaison, taking into account the different parameters of the IPFC liaison coding : liaison consonant involved, grammatical category of the linking word and of the following word, number of syllables of the linking word, presence vs. absence of liaison, nature of the linking consonant, presence of a pause. We compared our results to those of the same learners in other tasks of the IPFC-protocol and of learners of other IPFC investigation points. Then we focused on the learners’ errors due to their interlanguage, as transferts from L1 or transitory errors.
