Plato builds an ontology capable of saving the Phenomena in the Sophist. By doing so, he distances himself from Parmenides. This article analyses the children's prayer (Soph. 249 d 5) in order to sustain this thesis and evaluate the platonic proposal, along with the role of the negation and the heteron in the communication of the Kinds.

Abstract
Plato builds an ontology capable of saving the Phenomena in the Sophist. By doing so, he distances himself from Parmenides.
