The futurist poems in Yosano Hiroshi’s Rira no hana (1914) In this paper I give a survey of the four “futurist” poems presented in Rira no hana (Lilac Flowers), a collection of translations of French and Italian poetry edited by Yosano Hiroshi in 1914. They include one text each by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Aldo Palazzeschi, Valentine de Saint-Point and Blaise Cendrars. Besides giving some philological information about these texts, I try to put the selector’s choices in the context of the international configuration of the “world republic of letters” and to interpret them as a tool of symbolic empowerment within it.

Abstract
The futurist poems in Yosano Hiroshi’s Rira no hana (1914) In this paper I give a survey of the four “futurist” poems presented in Rira no hana (Lilac Flowers), a collection of translations of French and Italian poetry edited by Yosano Hiroshi in 1914. They include one text each by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Aldo Palazzeschi, Valentine de Saint-Point and Blaise Cendrars. Besides giving some philological information about these texts, I try to put the selector’s choices in the context of the international configuration of the “world republic of letters” and to interpret them as a tool of symbolic empowerment within it.File in questo prodotto:
