On 17 December 2013, in accordance with the procedure introduced by the Treaty of Lisbon (Article 294 TFEU) involving the Parliament, the Council and the Commission, the Common Agricultural Policy has been defined until 2020. In particular, Regulation (EU) No 1307 / 2013 establishes rules on direct payments to farmers, Reg. 1305/2013 support for rural development by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), while Regulation 1308/2013 governs the Common Market Organization agricultural products, single legal framework for the internal market, trade with third countries, competition rules. In such contest, the study presents the novelties of the recent reform, focusing on the innovative elements and application peculiarities, especially addressed to our country.
