This essay was written on the invitation by the scientific committee of the Victorian Review. Together with 6 Victorian scholars I took part in a forum on teaching Victorian authors in academic courses, considering the implications that their texts have for today's non-British readers. I have written about some lectures I gave on John Ruskin for my MA course on Victorian culture, focussing on Ruskin's more popular books on Venice, namely the Stones of Venice and St. Mark's Rest.

Abstract
This essay was written on the invitation by the scientific committee of the Victorian Review. Together with 6 Victorian scholars I took part in a forum on teaching Victorian authors in academic courses, considering the implications that their texts have for today's non-British readers. I have written about some lectures I gave on John Ruskin for my MA course on Victorian culture, focussing on Ruskin's more popular books on Venice, namely the Stones of Venice and St. Mark's Rest.File in questo prodotto:
