A REVISED TEXT OF THE POEM WITH ORPHIC CONTENT IN THE PALIMPSEST SIN. AR. NF 66

Under the auspices of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Giulia Rossetto and Filippomaria Pontani coor- dinated a research group formed by a number of scholars who examined the new poetical text edited by Rossetto in ZPE 219 (2021), pp. 34–60. The participants were: Gianfranco Agosti, Alberto Bernabé, Claudio De Stefani, Radcliffe G. Edmonds, Miguel Herrero de Jáuregui, Fabienne Jourdan, Anna Lefteratou, Enrico Magnelli, Marco Antonio Santamaría, Oliver Thomas. The discussion took place in the form of a workshop, whose aim was to exchange thoughts and ideas about the text and the context of the Greek hexameters preserved in the erased layers of the palimpsest Sin. ar. NF 66 in the light of recently created, improved images of the manuscript and with the goal of providing the scholarly community with an improved text through a joint effort. This article summarizes the results of the meeting, first with an overview of the topics which were dealt with and then offering the revised text of the hexameters.
