Abstract
The reader, having known Georges Politzer's work exclusively through his Critique of the Fundamentals of Psychology (1928), the only book published under his real name, can only be surprised to read this essay, written a decade later and signed under the pseudonym "Th. W. Morris" - an anagram homage to Maurice Thorez, then secretary of the French Communist Party. The 1928 book, which was to be the first volume of a trilogy that was to examine the main psychological currents of the beginning of the 20th century - namely, psychoanalysis and psychotropy. It was a pioneering work of introduction and re-reading of Sigmund Freud's work; work that, later on, would deeply mark the reflection of philosophers, communist militants, psychologists and psychoanalysts such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Georges Canguilhem, Michel Foucault, Daniel Lagache, Jacques Lacan and Louis Althusser - to name only the best known.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
