The article discusses the findings of a preliminary study on the Armenian textual tradition of the Prayer of St Paul against snake bite, focusing on its historiola. The main differences with respect to the historiola of the Greek version of the same prayer are discussed, and the genealogical relations among the Armenian manuscripts are outlined. A preliminary critical edition of the Armenian historiola is published, based upon the manuscripts the author had access to, followed by its Italian translation.
