Based on newly identified archival sources from Dubrovnik State Archive, the article finally proves that Henrico Zucalli, the architect of the Bavarian court, had previously worked in Rome in the circle of Mattia de Rossi and Bernini. Moreover, the text sheds new light not only on Zucalli's carrier but also on the functioning of the Bernini's workshop and the tasks performed by the different artists during multiple trips to the French court.
