The idea of this article was sparkled by an exchange of view with Boris I. Marshak on some issues in Iranian archaeology that still remain unsolved. It occurred in Venice on march 14, 2005 during the international conference dedicated to the Royal Nawrūz in Samarkand and it gives us the chance to further the studies on the issue of the so-called Sīmurġ (Senmurv) in Iranian art and the datation of the complex of Ṭāq-i Bustān. This article also contains the results of said researches.

Abstract
