This paper approaches the theme of intercultural contacts by examining the archaeological framework of the late Early Bronze Age in Achaea (second half of the 3rd millennium BC). This period in Greece was characterized by major changes in the socio-economic sphere concurrent with a series of traumatic events but also with remarkable interaction phenomena. The paper aims to analyse the cultural interconnections of Achaea by applying and testing various interpretative frameworks including complex processes of cultural entanglement as well as actual movements of peoples across different geographical regions.
