The “Botte Zerpana” is an idraulic system that drains the waters of Alpone torrent into the Adige river. Some documents and drawn projects for similar idraulic solutions prove that this siphon was probably built on a project by Simone Bombieri, a well-know 18th-century Veronese engineer. The “Botte Zerpana” was previously and traditionally attribued to Andrea Palladio, who had worked for the Serego family in this area during the sixteenth century.

Abstract
