The purpose of this study is to examine the syntactic status of the Korean genitive and the semantic domain hierarchy shown by the genitive noun phrases. It is assumed that the semantic ambiguity of Korean genitive noun phrases is due to structural differences, and it is suggested that the linearity of the arguments shown in the case of overlapping genitives within the noun phrase is according to the semantic domain within the syntactic structure.

Abstract
