In this article we discuss the cultural content of the European project that has seen Gorizia and Nova Gorica the role of European Capital of culture 2025. The article reconstructs the thorny history of the past and illustrates the details of the future project, introducing us to the "immediate present" to which Europe is looking. The award given to the two cities suggests that Gorizia and Nova Gorica, long opposed but always in contact, can evolve from being a "periphery" to becoming a new European centre.

Abstract
In this article we discuss the cultural content of the European project that has seen Gorizia and Nova Gorica the role of European Capital of culture 2025. The article reconstructs the thorny history of the past and illustrates the details of the future project, introducing us to the "immediate present" to which Europe is looking. The award given to the two cities suggests that Gorizia and Nova Gorica, long opposed but always in contact, can evolve from being a "periphery" to becoming a new European centre.File in questo prodotto:
