Attrice, assistente alla produzione e sceneggiatrice nel cinema di Vittorio De Seta, Vera Gherarducci è stata un'autrice che ha pubblicato due libri di poesie negli anni '60 e '70. Nonostante la considerazione ricevuta nel proprio tempo resta ancora un'autrice dimenticata. Quest'articolo introduce la sua opera poetica descrivendo il contesto storico, editoriale e intellettuale in cui ha lavorato, considerando soprattutto i testi critici di Nelo Risi e Pier Paolo Pasolini, ma anche documenti d'archivio come alcune lettere dal Fondo dell'editore Scheiwiller conservato al Centro Apice di Milano.
