Abstract
The definitions available in the literature for the concave symmetrical trapezes appear to be quite variegate and they are not always leading to clear interpretations. The functional analysis applied to this cathegory of artefacts, excavated in the Uzzo Cave (TP), has brought us to make some technological, functional and morphologic considerations, which lead us to propose a denomination that recall the analytical approach to which the artefacts undergone. At present similar defi nitions are in use to describe two different tools types: group of the foliati ones to which the Lagozza transversal tranchants belong to, and the group of the geometric to which the symmetrical trapezes with concave truncations are referred. Based on these considerations the techno-functional analysis seemed suitable to refer to the geometric tools of Uzzo Cave as symmetrical trapezes with concave truncations, straight truncations, and asymmetric trapezes with concave oblique base and concave truncationsFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
