The article proposes a deep dive into Gianikian and Ricci Lucchi's oeuvre. By way of a close analysis of a few excerpts from their works, this text offers a reflection on temporality that relates to found footage film on the whole: far from serving as a case study alone, it elicits questions around the materiality of the image, its obsolescence, its validity as a critical means enabling to connect past, present and future.
