Chemisorption analysis by a pulse flow system is proposed as routine test for determining the palladium, platinum and nickel nanosize on different carriers and as a preliminary measurement of the catalyst performance. Moreover, CO chemisorption performed in well defined and controlled experimental conditions can be taken as a method for the quantitative determination of the gold active sites on TiO2, CeO2 and Fe2O3 supports. The test is useful also on Au/ZrO2 catalysts where gold particles are atomically dispersed and cannot be detected by HRTEM.

Abstract
Chemisorption analysis by a pulse flow system is proposed as routine test for determining the palladium, platinum and nickel nanosize on different carriers and as a preliminary measurement of the catalyst performance. Moreover, CO chemisorption performed in well defined and controlled experimental conditions can be taken as a method for the quantitative determination of the gold active sites on TiO2, CeO2 and Fe2O3 supports. The test is useful also on Au/ZrO2 catalysts where gold particles are atomically dispersed and cannot be detected by HRTEM.File in questo prodotto:
