The "BaCri" project was conceived by the Burlo Garofolo Scientific Research Institute of Trieste as a prospective and multicenter study. The project aims to support the pediatrician in the early recognition of those clinical conditions in which, despite the lack of symptoms of a severe bacterial infection, this hypothesis could occur. Data is collected through a platform based on Cloud Computing technology powered by the pediatrician. The BaCri platform allows to recognize and alert critical clinical situations. The project has several goals: overcoming clinical bias, enhancing knowledge translation to strengthen the relationships and communication with the local community, increasing the pediatric knowledge, verifying the appropriateness of the prescriptions of therapies and diagnostic tests, and stimulate co-production and patient engagement logics.
