L’archipel de la traduction : Glissant au prisme de la traduction, la traduction au prisme de Glissant

An "archipelagic thought" can only be constructed through the plural reading of a discourse. Glissant's thought, constructed through accumulation "at all levels" in order to reveal a "reality that is itself scattered", can only be truly apprehended through a plurilingual reading, that is to say "in the presence of all languages" and of all imaginaries. In this article, I propose to read some of the key concepts of Glissant's thought, such as "Relation", "errance", " clat" through their translations into English, German, Spanish and Italian. This fluid reading of the texts in parallel with their translations will serve as a starting point for a method of "archipelagic reading" of the literary text, in the Caribbean and elsewhere.
