BNF, it. 442, un nuovo manoscritto per la tradizione dei volgarizzamenti retorico-morali del Trecento ("Della Miseria dell'uomo" e "Piccola Dottrina del parlare e del tacere"): omissioni premeditate o "censura"?

The aim of this paper is to analyze the editing intervention testified in the manuscript italien 442 stored in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. The manuscript represents a new witness in the tradition of the treaties Della Miseria dell’uomo and Piccola Dottrina del parlare e del tacere: it had been unknown because the titles have been modified and the narrative introduction of the Bono Giamboni’s treaty were absent. Within the framework of XIV century, the omissions can be considerd intentional as they may be consequence of text moralization produced by public transformation.
