Tito Livio: uno sguardo sugli Etruschi

The topic of the paper concerns tha way in which Titus Livius described the Etruscans and their power in his work "Ab Urbe condita" and mainly in the 1st-10th books. Four main subjects ara analyzed from an archaeological point of view.1. Etruscans or Populi Etruriae: power and weakness. 2. The roman struggle against Veio between history and myth; 3. The way of fighting; 4. Dearth and pestilence. Some conclusions concern the way in which Livius described the conflictual relationship between Rome and etruscan cities and the economic reasons inside, and the early relationshp with Etruria Padana.
