The growing relevance of several emerging economies in global dynamics is today widely recognized. The international economic crisis of 2008 has certainly accelerated some of the changes taking place in international investment flows and in global production relations. This work focuses on the constraints and opportunities offered by Ethiopia's investment climate, paying particular attention to the issues related to infrastructures and access to finance. In terms of policy implications, the work provides a series of useful information for planning interventions taking into account the dimensional, territorial and sectoral heterogeneity of the enterprises in order to facilitate their activities and the more general industrial development.
