This paper aims at analysing Louis Martinet's "Tratado elemental de terapéutica médica" (1839), translated into Spanish by Lorenzo Boscasa. Despite being a very faithful translation, this treatise reveals Boscasa's great attention towards scientific terminology. As a result, in this paper we focus on cardiological terminology used by the translator in order to examine its formation and propagation, both from a lexical and lexicographic point of view.

Abstract
This paper aims at analysing Louis Martinet's "Tratado elemental de terapéutica médica" (1839), translated into Spanish by Lorenzo Boscasa. Despite being a very faithful translation, this treatise reveals Boscasa's great attention towards scientific terminology. As a result, in this paper we focus on cardiological terminology used by the translator in order to examine its formation and propagation, both from a lexical and lexicographic point of view.File in questo prodotto:
