This article presents a study of the burlesque ballad by Quevedo, entitled "Don Quixote's testament". It is a skilful rewriting of the end of Don Quixote, II, which inverts and takes many episodes and elements of the hipotextual novel to parody, with the persistence in madness of the protagonist as the principal and significant alteration.
