After an introductory overview of the textual tradition of Angelo Poliziano's vernacular letters (today comprised of 40 units), the essays focuses on some ecdotic and exegetical issues that appeared particularly significant to the author when she was attending to the critical edition of the Letters. Without any pretense of systematicity, a series of "concrete" examples is here proposed with the aim to illustrate the kind of investigation, mainly of historico-documentary scope, underlying the commentary to the Letters.
