The reading of the collection of Filippo Secchieri’s (1958-2011) poems which was published after his death and in an unconventional form, this analysis of the inner text, heavily interspersed with apt calques from Rebora, Ungaretti and Montale, finds the critic’s cross-breeding of his theoretical-critical interests with his aspiration to singing. In the second part of the volume Scintillazioni, his resorting to an ontological tone is, on one hand, the development of the tendency to conciseness and objectivity that was typical of Secchieri’s poetical research and, on the other hand, the final stage in a process in which literary criticism and poetry have slowly become aware of their mutual independence.
