Regarding both poetry and prose, considering the autobiographic period between 1944 and 1964, this contribute aims to highlight some of the author’s textual topics. Cities – especially Venice –, identity, truth and experience are connected to models and contemporary Italian writers, trying to reconstruct a crucial context in which Milena Milani (1917-2013) worked. Suggestions also from cinema and definition applied to other artists could offer an interesting field of intertextual links.
