The paper explores the possibilities of a transdisciplinary model of teaching modern Chinese literature, exploiting the transmediality of the literary text and its relations to other cultural fields and disciplines, such as art, cinema, and the web. It provides a range of examples taken from the author's teaching practice drawing as well from present innovative research on literature for inspiration.
