The aim of the present paper is to shed light on the theme of Arabic grammar learning through playful activities and games coming from different traditions. As a matter of fact the paper takes into consideration not only those games stemming from western tradition – e.g. battleship, scavenger hunt, etc. – but also those originating in the Middle Eastern region. Implications of using playful activities in the Arabic language classroom are analyzed and discussed.
