A careful evaluation of university student satisfaction is a central question for various reasons. For example because endowment funds at universities disposal trend downwards, and as a consequence, student taxes are raised and students become quality demanding costumers. University student satisfaction is not directly measurable because it depends upon many different aspects. It may be studied through a composite indicator based on other variables (partial indicators) that are directly observed. The reduction of the number of partial indicators underlying a composite indicator is addressed. We propose a simple method. An application to student relations with the other people of the university context is discussed. The method has been compared to PCA, and it is shown that is much simpler to be used and requires milder assumptions.
