The complexes of the type [FeCl(CNR)2L3]ClO4 (R = phenyl, 4-methylphenyl, 4-methoxyphenyl, 4-nitrophenyl, 2-methylphenyl, or 2,6-dimethylphenyl; L = diethyl phenylphosphonite) and of the type [FeCl(p-CH3C6H4NC)3(PPh3)2] Y (Y− = ClO4−, BPh4−, or FeCl4−) and the compound [Fe(C6H11NC)3(PPh(OEt)2)3]ClO4 were synthesized, and their structures were postulated on the basis of infrared and pmr spectra. The influence of the π acidity of the phosphine and isocyanide ligands on the stability of these complexes is also discussed. © 1975, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
