Comparison of NMR of trans-[PtH(4-RC6H4NH:NC6H4R-4)(PPh3)2] (I; R = Cl, F, H, Me) with published NMR of trans- [PtH(SC6H4R-4)(PPh3)2] (II) indicates that rapid exchange of PPh3 in I does not occur as in II and that the anionic triazene ligands are better -donors than neutral hydrazine ligands.
