On the basis of Ottoman tezkere (receipts) and berat (imperial documents) issued on behalf of the Ottoman Treasury the author makes a list of the names and signatures of Ottoman treasurers (defterdars) in the 16th and 17th c. Some names do not appear in other lists of defterdars.
