A series of computer programs have been implemented in CDC FORTRAN in order to process a poetic text of 63238 words by Francis Webb, a contemporary Australian poet. Our purpose was to build up a comprehensive automatic information retrieval system that would provide the competent evaluator with a variety of tools for linguistic and stylistic analysis on a lexical and semantic level.
