Dichloromethyl complexes of the type [Co-(CHCl2)(CNR)nP5-n](PF6)2 [n = 2, 3; R = 4-CH3C6H4, 4-CH3OC6H4 4-ClC6H4; P = PhP(OEt)2 were prepared by allowing the compounds [Co(CNR)nP5-n]PF6 to react at -80 °C with aryldiazonlum cations in CH2Cl2. Their characterization by infrared and1H,13C{1H}, and variable-temperature31P{1H} NMR spectroscopy is reported.
