A kinetic study of the thermophilic anaerobic digestion of the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OEMSW) sorted in an industrial plant is carried out. Two kinetic models are used to form the basis of the study: one is the first-order model and the other is the step-diffusional model proposed by the authors.
