The research approaches the problem of the relationship between the Divine Comedy and the Roman de la Rose. At the present time, the studies concerning this topic have adopted mainly a stylistic approach useful to the solution of the attribution of the “Fiore”, without getting permanent and shared solutions to the problem. The writer, in this work, proposes a different point of view about the methodological approach. The relationship between the two works is being addressed according to a circumstantial paradigm, in which intertextuality is evaluated in relation to the memory of the image. Thus, it was concluded that the contrastive analysis with the Roman de la Rose can give some hermeneutical contributions to the Dante criticism; contributions able to show a level of significance of the text that allows to appreciate the relationship of the Comedy not only with Provencal tradition and the thirteenth-century lyric poetry, on one side, and the allegory of medieval Latin, on the other side; but also with the experiences of speculative mysticism of that period. The theme of the feminine image of "otherness" and the semiotics of narcissistic mirroring are particularly important in this work.

Abstract
The theme of the feminine image of "otherness" and the semiotics of narcissistic mirroring are particularly important in this work.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
