This thesis is referred to the analysis of the air pollution in the Chinese cities. The legislative approach on air pollution of the Chinese government and his future improvement has been discussed. The development and the air quality of Shanghai also have been analyzed. In the framework of the Sino-Italian Cooperation Program for Environmental Protection, as researcher of CNR IIA (Italian National Research Council, Institute on Atmospheric Pollution), I've executed in Shanghai several monitoring assessments. The data obtained have been used in this work. A characterization of atmospheric particulate pollution was obtained by analyzing the daily mass concentration and chemical composition of PM10 sampled during the study. The relative weight of five sources of PM (crustal, sea-salt, anthropogenic primary, secondary inorganic and organic aerosol) was assessed. The reconstructed chemical composition based on the average concentration of PM10 shows that the major component in Shanghai city dust are secondary inorganic (37%) and crustal (29%), followed by organic (17%), primary anthropogenic (15%) and sea salt (2%). Finally was executed a monitoring campaign and model simulation conduct sin the city of Shanghai for the evaluation of the dust emission factor from the constructions sites. The data collected were used to improve a new empirical methodology to evaluate the emission factor related to the PM10; also a Gaussian plume model AERMOD was used to test the methodology. Considering the results obtained one emission factor, valid for the month of October and November 2006, has been calculated, this value is 2 μg/(m2*sec) of PM10 emitted.

Abstract
Considering the results obtained one emission factor, valid for the month of October and November 2006, has been calculated, this value is 2 μg/(m2*sec) of PM10 emitted.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
