This study concerns a newly developing field of research, and examines the European Muslim online media. The choice of the Internet and the media aims not only to analyze the nature and messages of the monitored sites, but also investigate on how the European Islam conveys information and perspectives concerning Islam itself and European society. From a general overview of European Islam and virtual Islam, this study focuses on European Muslims’ self-representation through the use of media in the Internet medium. In particular for this reason, it analyzes the case study of the European Media Islamic Network (EMIN), a non hierarchical network, which is heterogeneous in terms of national origin and typology of its members. The analysis of the various EMIN’s souls is a starting point to represent rebuild part of the composed world of the online European Islamic media.
