Nowadays, in the Italian school system, classes have become increasingly multilingual and multicultural as a consequence of the settled presence of foreigner students. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate some mixed ability, multilingual and multicultural, Italian classes in order to see if immigrants and Italian students are a resource for their mutual language and cultural learning. In order to achieve this purpose we asked some teachers to complete a questionnaire and we conducted a research in a multilingual and multicultural class in an Italian High School.

Abstract

Nowadays, in the Italian school system, classes have become increasingly multilingual and multicultural as a consequence of the settled presence of foreigner students.
