Within business theory, risk management has become increasingly central in response to the profound transformations affecting contemporary economies and societies. This evolution can be understood by comparing two complementary perspectives: Gino Zappa’s vision, rooted in the Italian Economia Aziendale tradition, and Ulrich Beck’s theory of the risk society. Despite their different historical contexts, both provide conceptual insights that, when integrated, offer a deeper understanding of the role and strategic relevance of risk management for contemporary and future enterprises.

Abstract
Within business theory, risk management has become increasingly central in response to the profound transformations affecting contemporary economies and societies. This evolution can be understood by comparing two complementary perspectives: Gino Zappa’s vision, rooted in the Italian Economia Aziendale tradition, and Ulrich Beck’s theory of the risk society. Despite their different historical contexts, both provide conceptual insights that, when integrated, offer a deeper understanding of the role and strategic relevance of risk management for contemporary and future enterprises.File in questo prodotto:
