This work shows the advances in defining a method for the assessment of the state of conservation of outdoor contemporary mural paintings, in Italian Painted Villages; evaluating the efficacy and durability of conservative interventions, where present; assessing the impact of climatic and environmental parameters and of their fluctuations on the artworks. The tools used are, respectively, Art-Risk 1, non-invasive or micro-invasive analyses, satellite data (through Art-Risk 5) and data from meteorological ground stations. This investigation is significant both for the artworks, and for the effects it may have on the communities involved.

Abstract
This work shows the advances in defining a method for the assessment of the state of conservation of outdoor contemporary mural paintings, in Italian Painted Villages; evaluating the efficacy and durability of conservative interventions, where present; assessing the impact of climatic and environmental parameters and of their fluctuations on the artworks. The tools used are, respectively, Art-Risk 1, non-invasive or micro-invasive analyses, satellite data (through Art-Risk 5) and data from meteorological ground stations. This investigation is significant both for the artworks, and for the effects it may have on the communities involved.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
