The work combines the eight verses of mind training with an autobiographical and commentarial account of Geshe Chekawa’s encounter with, assimilation of, and practical engagement with these teachings. Through explanations, anecdotes, scriptural references, and contemplative instructions, the text explores the transformation of self-centred attitudes, the cultivation of altruism, the handling of afflictive emotions and adverse circumstances, and the integration of lojong into everyday practice. The Italian translation is based directly on Tibetan textual sources and is presented alongside the Tibetan text.
