The introduction presents essays originating from 2024 internacional conference held at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. It approaches foreignness as a geographical, linguistic, and intellectual condition. Across different cultural contexts, poetry is understood as an expanded practice of translation that challenges established identities, reveals mechanisms of exclusion, and transforms permanent (in)adaptability into a source of critical and creative experimentaion.
